How many monks are there in the community?
At the moment, there are 16, postulant included.
However we are no monks but regular canons. I refer to the lexicon lexicon for the exact explanation.
Are all of you priests?
The community currently has 13 priests. 3 are preparing themselves to the priesthood.
May you leave the abbey?
If you mean by "leaving" the abbey, can we go outside of the Abbey walls, then yes. We go out for the various needs of the pastoral work: in the parishes, hospital chaplaincy, scout groups, theological teaching, assistency to various associations, spiritual assistency to fraternities for married couples etc.
As to our relationship with the Abbey, the community has presently 13 solemnly professed members, 1 with simply profession, 1novice and 1 postulant.
Are there young people in the Abbey?
Well, the average age is 55. The youngest being 25 and the oldest 82.
Do you all live in the Abbey?
No, for the moment, one is living outside the Abbey, for pastoral reasons.
